What learning would you share with other Invisalign providers?
Performing IPR after alignment rather than at the beginning offers two advantages. Once the teeth are aligned and contact points are fully established, the interproximal surfaces can be reduced along their true contact areas, which improves the final tooth shape and contour. The required amount of IPR also becomes more predictable, since it is measured on aligned teeth rather than estimated from rotated or displaced positions.
What contributed most to this treatment being successful?
Alignment was completed first without IPR, and IPR was performed afterward once proper contact points had been established. This sequence allowed the crowding to be resolved without increasing anterior prominence, and the interproximal spaces observed during alignment were closed without residual gaps.
