Patient Chief Concern
Protruded anterior teeth
What learning would you share with other Invisalign providers?
In non-extraction cases, transverse expansion is necessary to prevent protrusion of anterior teeth. Invisalign treatment can successfully control tooth angulation and is an effective tool for arch expansion & arch form alignment.
What contributed most to this treatment being successful?
Aligning the arch form by enlarging the inter-molar arch width and correcting the rotations were important factors. Also, by intruding the lower anterior teeth, leveling the Curve of Spee was achieved. IPR on both the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth helped with tooth rotation. Class II elastics were used to reduce overjet.
