Summary

The patient underwent three stages of aligner treatment. The first stage was the MA phase. During the pre-MA phase, we first corrected 15 crossbite and aligned the upper anterior teeth by slightly intruding them, allowing the overjet to be more easily corrected. This stage took about 1 year and 7 months to complete. The results were quite good, as we observed advancement of the mandible (with the SNB angle improving from 76.2 degree to 77.2 degree). In the second phase, we used Class II elastics to achieve significant extrusion of the posterior teeth, as the anterior teeth were already in a good position. After completing the second phase, an additional phase was added because the patient's second molars erupted into the dental arch. Alignment of all 7s took about 8 months to finish.
