Invisalign Comprehensive

Patient Chief Concern
Protruded incisors

What contributed most to this treatment being successful?
The G6 attachment protocol was the main contributor to success in this case. The patient's previous molar occlusion was good. Retaining the molar occlusion while retracting the anterior teeth distally (closing the extraction space), even without inserting a TAD, was successful due to the G6 attachment protocol. By making the pontics small and narrowing the pontic space, the Invisalign aligner's ability to grip the teeth improved, leading to a successful extraction space closure.

Clinical Indications

  • Class II div 1
  • Crowding
  • Deep bite
  • Increased overjet
  • Rotations

Modalities

  • Distalization
  • Elastics: Class II
  • First Premolar extraction
  • Mesialization
All first premolar were extracted. During the primary aligner order, optimized retraction attachments were used on all canines, and optimized maximum anchorage attachments were placed on all 2nd premolar, 1st molar, and 2nd molar to close the extraction space. Class II elastics were used to reduce overjet. Overcorrection of deep bite was performed with Additional aligners.
